Melaleuca Annual Family Picnic Brings Sun, Smiles, and Surprises
There wasn’t a cloud in the sky as thousands of Melaleuca Team Members and their families descended upon the grassy fields just outside Melaleuca Global Headquarters for one of The Wellness Company’s most anticipated traditions: the Annual Melaleuca Family Picnic! With sunny skies and the smell of barbecue in the air, this year’s event was what summertime is all about!
The sprawling field felt more like a carnival than a company gathering. Mechanical bulls, climbing walls, bounce houses, and inflatable obstacle courses stretched as far as the eye could see (at least for the youngest attendees). Team Members enjoyed horseback riding, while the kids had fun taking a ride aboard a children’s train.
For some, a helicopter ride over the landscape was the biggest thrill of the evening. Dozens lined up for the incredible opportunity to get a bird’s-eye view of the 195-acre Melaleuca campus, the Snake River winding through the region, the lava fields to the west, and the majestic Teton Mountains to the east. For most of them, this unique recognition was a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Dinner included a feast of Riverbend Ranch Black Label Beef, hot dogs, and fresh salads. And true to tradition, whole-roasted pigs were carved and served up by members of Melaleuca’s leadership team. Cotton candy, popcorn, snow cones, and cold drinks were also available all day long, with lines of happy kids (and grown-ups) coming back for seconds.
Melaleuca Culture: Appreciation and Celebration
The Melaleuca Family Picnic isn’t just about having fun, though there’s plenty of that to go around-it’s Melaleuca’s way of saying thank you to our Team Members. Thank you for your hard work. Thank you for your dedication. And thank you to the families who support their loved ones behind the scenes!
Melaleuca Executive Chairman Frank VanderSloot and Melaleuca CEO Jerry Felton took a moment to address all of the Team Members, expressing heartfelt appreciation to them and their families for everything they do.
“We’re a family at Melaleuca,” said Jerry. “We celebrate and have fun. And we want to express appreciation for our exceptional Team Members and their families.”
The Big Raffle and Grand Prizes
After dinner, the field transformed into a stage of anticipation as the evening’s big raffle got underway. More than 100 prizes were given away to Team Members, ranging from electronics and sports gear to toys and home appliances. The grand prize drawings included vacation packages to fun destinations as well as a hefty gift card to a local store.
