Founder and Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors, Frank VanderSloot

In addition to founding Melaleuca: The Wellness Company in September 1985, Frank VanderSloot served as the company’s Chief Executive Officer for 36 years. In May 2022, he appointed Jerry Felton as the new Melaleuca CEO and transitioned to the full-time role of Executive Chairman of Melaleuca’s board of directors. Frank currently focuses on corporate strategy, messaging, new product development, and corporate culture.

Under his direction, Melaleuca has become a multinational consumer goods company with over 400 exclusive health and wellness products, generating over $2 billion in annual sales and operating in 20 countries and territories. It has been named by Forbes magazine as one of America’s best employers for four consecutive years.

Prior to Melaleuca, Frank spent several years at two Fortune 500 companies: Cox Communications and Automatic Data Processing (ADP). Frank has also served on the US Chamber of Commerce’s board of directors for more than 25 years, with most of that time as a member of the Chamber’s Executive Committee.

Frank’s business acumen and leadership skills have been recognized by many national and regional institutions. He was named an Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young, CNN, and USA Today. He is a lifetime member of the Horatio Alger Association of Distinguished Americans and a recipient of the US Chamber of Commerce’s prestigious Blue Chip Award. Frank has been inducted into the Idaho Technology Council’s Hall of Fame, been named as one Idaho’s most influential citizens, and been given the Icon Award by the Idaho Business Review.

He has been involved in charitable and philanthropic activities throughout his career. After the September 11 attacks, he established the Melaleuca Foundation. The Foundation provides relief after natural disasters, supports educational programs, and provides resources to feed the hungry. The Melaleuca Foundation is also the sole financial supporter of an orphanage in Ecuador. The Salvation Army and the American Red Cross have presented top awards to honor Frank’s humanitarian efforts.

Frank and his wife, Belinda, founded Riverbend Ranch in 1992, growing it to become one the largest purebred ranches and commercial cattle operations in the United States.

Chief Executive Officer, Jerry Felton

Since May 2022, Jerry Felton has served as Melaleuca’s Chief Executive Officer, overseeing the company’s sales and operations in the 20 countries and territories where it operates.

Before becoming CEO, Jerry was President of Melaleuca International for four years and Senior Vice President of International for 10 years. Jerry is credited with leading the company’s global expansion throughout Europe and Asia as well as tripling Melaleuca’s international revenues. He joined Melaleuca in March 2009 and spent three years as the company’s Senior Vice President of Sales.

Prior to his Melaleuca career, Jerry spent 17 years as an executive for UPS, the largest shipping company in the world, rising to the position of Vice President of Global Account Sales.

Jerry earned his MBA from the University of Texas at Austin and his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. He is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.

When he was announced as the new Melaleuca CEO, Jerry said, “I will carry forward the principles, values, and traditions that Frank has established over the past 37 years. Sure, I’ll bring my experience and perspectives to the role, but I won’t forget the principles that brought us here. I’m committed to carrying forward the legacy that Frank and all of our Marketing Executives and customers have created.
