Family and Friends Cheer on Team Members at Melaleuca’s 3v3 Basketball Tournament

Melaleuca employee 3v3 winners

As friends and family munched on complimentary hot dogs and Simply Fit Popcorn, Melaleuca Team Members battled for a chance to win in this year’s annual Melaleuca March Madness 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament.

As in years past, Melaleuca Vice President of Human Resources Jamie Reynolds announced the open registration in February for the Melaleuca March Madness tournament. Coworkers began forming teams for a chance at the title, and after employees began practicing, their friendly banter ricocheted throughout the company.

The tournament was double elimination (which means each team was guaranteed two games), and each player was given a reversible Melaleuca March Madness Jersey. Also, for those who wanted to show off their shooting skills, there was a men’s and women’s 3-point competition prior to the tournament. Prizes were awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places in the 3-on-3 tournament and also for both the men’s and women’s 3-point competition champions.

“We love seeing Team Members come together in healthy, fun competition with family and friends supporting at the sidelines,” said Reynolds. “Many of the spectators were Melaleuca Team Members, which creates a remarkable comradery inside and outside of work.”

It’s opportunities like this that make Team Members at Melaleuca feel more like family, especially when their family members join in on the fun. These moments not only make Melaleuca a family friendly workplace, but they also embody the health and wellness culture that Melaleuca was founded upon.

Melaleuca Family Picnic

“Melaleuca’s team mentality and family culture is an intentional choice not only by our executive team, but by each Team Member we bring on board,” said Reynolds. “They make Melaleuca one of the best places in America to work by their positive attitudes, commitment, hard work, and approachability.”

And with several events like this throughout the year including a free day at the zoo, a free evening of baseball at Melaleuca Field, 5K/10K fitness runs, and a golf scramble called the MelaMasters, these precious moments take place year-round.

Other highly anticipated Melaleuca traditions include a Christmas celebration with premiere entertainment, gifts, and prizes as well as a trick-or-treat spook alley for children and grandchildren of employees. The annual Melaleuca Family Picnic, where thousands of families gather, is an outdoor carnival worthy of a state fair. Since the buzzer has now sounded on Melaleuca’s March Madness basketball tournament, Team Melaleuca congratulates the winners and thanks employees for another event filled with friendly competition.
