Announcing Our Newest Triumph in Product Concentration

Introducing our new 9x-concentrated laundry family!

Introducing our new 9x-concentrated laundry family!

Since creating our 6x-concentrated laundry products in 2008, together, we’ve made a massive, measurably positive difference for the environment.

Consider all the good you have accomplished by choosing our concentrated products! You—Melaleuca customers—have saved over 260 million pounds of virgin plastic from glutting our landfills. You have saved over 45 million gallons of fuel from being used in the transportation of products and 1.4 billion pounds of greenhouse emissions from being released into the atmosphere. Thanks to you, we have been able to do more measurable good than Green Works®, Method®, and Seventh Generation® combined!

But as you probably know, satisfaction with the status quo is simply not in Melaleuca’s DNA. While our 6x-concentrated formulas were still being celebrated as an environment-saving innovation, we were already thinking ahead. We entered the challenging realm of possibility with one bold question:

“What concentration would save an additional 50% in plastic?”

Our scientists went to work finding out. The answer was 9x.

BIG THINGS come in small packages!

For years, many have faithfully practiced the three Rs of reducing, reusing, and recycling plastic. But for many reasons, these are becoming more difficult to do. It’s time for manufacturers to step up and take this burden off of the consumer. Just as Melaleuca leads the way in product concentration, we are now taking on the responsibility of a fourth R—redesign. Product redesign is the only viable path to significantly reducing plastic.

reduce, reuse, recycle, redesign

In redesigning our laundry products, we had multiple benefits in mind. A smaller bottle size means you save an additional 50% on virgin plastic—a necessity becoming more urgent every day. It also saves on fuel costs and reduces emissions. The bottle is lighter and easier to lift and use.

Your choice of EcoSense® makes an unmistakable statement: you want to use less plastic, use less fuel, and reduce emissions. We consider it both our privilege and our responsibility to partner with you to achieve these noble goals and make it easier for you in every way we can. Our groundbreaking 9x concentration and compact packaging redesign are our newest ways to support your efforts to preserve our beautiful world as you keep your clothes fresh and clean! Expect more dynamic innovations in the future. Because we’re just getting started!

I still remember the Convention when Frank described the tries to concentrate beyond 2x and how it turned to gel. He said he couldn’t imagine people trying to scoop gel into their washers! It was so funny but here we are, industry leaders once again, concentrating to 9x! Congratulations Melaleuca!

  17. Kara on May 2, 2019 at 9:44 pm

    New Laundry product containers
Appear not to have a handle to pick it up. Arthritic hands can’t grip heavy bottles.

I really want it to all in one. I hope some day it can do all 4 in 1.

  21. Pam Whitmire on May 3, 2019 at 1:40 pm

My husband and I are oil and gas contractors, and live out of our motorhome. The 48 load laundry products are PERFECT for us because they only take up one small cabinet – space is super important in a motorhome!

I’m very excited to try these new products – smaller packaging is always better in our world!

  22. Eric Goodhart on May 3, 2019 at 7:11 pm

Wow! Talk about a testimonial in all sorts of ways.
Even though it wasn’t meant to be one.

First and foremost, PRODUCTS, are the business based on
    achieving and maintaining optimal health.

And for those who don’t want to keep it a secret,
financial freedom is an achievable goal.

  23. Gail McVay on May 4, 2019 at 6:16 am

Nice that you have your priorities right. Precious time. 99 is amazing, and seldom do I find someone who has been a customer longer than us. We joined when there were 30 products 27 years ago! Bless your Dad and my cousin for sharing.

  24. Renee on May 22, 2019 at 5:58 pm

ITA. I’m disabled as well. I just have to walk down the end of my floor to do my laundry. But, every little bit helps.

  25. Renee on May 22, 2019 at 6:03 pm

    Absolutely.

  26. Wendy Adams on July 11, 2019 at 7:20 am

I agree with you, a handle wound be better, especially to use with a pump. Hard to hold onto the bottle and pump at the same time. Also, I had to put the pump aside and order the drain back cap to try. The pump would not quit dripping. I could finally get to stop it appeared. However, I placed a cloth under the pump and it was catching detergent. So, it was dripping occasionally and wasting product.

I tried the laundry detergent around July, and I must say this is the detergent for me. I love it and it will make suds in a high efficiency washer. You only need 10 mls. for a load of cloths. It really does do all that it says it will and more!
