Melaleuca Announces New PURE™ Essential Oils

Melaleuca PURE Essentials Oils Line

Among the amazing new Melaleuca products just unveiled at Convention 2015 is a new line of 100% PURE™ Essential Oils. As with all of Melaleuca’s 400+ exceptional products, PURE Essential Oils are manufactured using the best of science and the finest, safest, most effective natural ingredients available.

When Melaleuca was founded, the portfolio consisted of eight products, and all of them were based on one common ingredient – the melaleuca essential oil. Over the last 30 years, Melaleuca has used several pure essential oils as key ingredients in many of its most popular products. Products such as bath bars, MelaPower, Sol-U-Guard, Pain-A-Trate, Sei Bella cosmetics, Tooth Polish, Hand Soap, and the new all-natural insect repellent demonstrate Melaleuca’s great expertise in the arena of essential oils.

To provide customers with the best possible essential oils, Melaleuca has joined up with farmers known for their ethical, sustainable growing practices and stringent testing. Melaleuca’s new PURE Essential Oils are extracted directly from the botanical source, and they are certified to contain absolutely no impurities or synthetics.

PURE Essential Oils are available in 22 individual varieties, five exclusive blends, and two carrier oils—Fractionated Coconut and Sweet Almond. Each bottle is defined by its complete purity, uncompromising quality, and unmistakable aromatic excellence. Melaleuca offers these exceptional essential oils at some of the lowest price points in the market today.

Its soothing properties also make it a perfect carrier oil for the topical application of essential oils. 41. Tom Robinson on May 18, 2015 at 9:58 pm

What great advice we were given at conference about safety and using these oils responsibly. I will be using these for the first time after learning about how they are used. This means they will be from a company I trust completely where science always comes first. The pricing is very reasonable!! Thanks to everyone who developed this new line, I know a lot of work went into it!

  42. Coral on May 18, 2015 at 10:50 pm

Though I’ve only used “our” Melaleuca oil, I never thought of it as using an essential oil, but I love it, so now I’m very interested in the other oils. Because education is key for those of us who don’t know much about it (e.g., FCO/Sweet Almond Oil/ carrier oil)–a bit of definition/education will be very helpful, as well as telling us that those ARE coming from Melaleuca, so we don’t go out and buy them elsewhere. Also need the diffusers, which I understand are also coming, but we need to let people know!

Thanks for another great, 100% pure product!

  43. Vic on May 19, 2015 at 12:02 am

I was so exciting that I have more options to freshen my house and environment

  44. PhyllisAdelle Sherer on May 21, 2015 at 10:47 am

Fantastic! I am so PLEASED you carry this line now! I felt like I was cheating when I wanted to buy some from “other” companies!
    YAY!!!

  45. Sally Wire on May 23, 2015 at 10:17 am

Love that Melaleuca can offer Essential Oils to the consumer at the true cost! Thanks Melaleuca!

  46. Lisa on May 23, 2015 at 6:23 pm

Shaking their heads yes. And laughing.

  47. Wendy on May 25, 2015 at 3:35 pm

I was online to place my monthly order today, and was so excited to see that Melaleuca has added essential oils to their product line! I trust the quality of products from Melaleuca, and have been a preferred customer for many years. I immediately texted my mom to tell her the good news. Thanks for adding this to your already amazing product line!

  48. Celia Haskell on May 26, 2015 at 9:28 pm

I re-enrolled with Melaleuca because of the essential oils. I love the other products but had not pulled the trigger to sign up again, until now. Question? What is the dilution ratio recommendations for the blue heat and other oils which need to be diluted before topical use? Thanks!

  49. Rebecca Miner on May 27, 2015 at 12:09 am

Yay! So exciting Melaleuca will be selling essential oils! What “grade” are they? Also, can they be applied topically without a carrier?

    Thanks!

  50. Kassy on May 28, 2015 at 2:33 pm

Can’t find anything that says there therapeutic grade.

  51. Sandy on June 2, 2015 at 2:41 pm

Are these oils safe to add to food?

  52. JoAnna on June 11, 2015 at 9:48 am

This is so awesome!!! I can’t wait for the diffuser to be available!!

  53. Paul on June 13, 2015 at 12:11 pm

Are these essential oils food-grade? Can they be taken internally? Are they organic?

  54. Lisa Lamarre on June 14, 2015 at 9:22 am

Hey Tom, do you know if Melaleuca will be releasing a booklet to go with these as well…? These oils are very new to many and I hope they do, so we can all learn how to use them properly. I can’t wait to get the new diffuser coming out soon too! Love this company and all their products, just keeps getting better and better all the time…!

  55. Lisa Lamarre on June 14, 2015 at 9:37 am

Thank you Melaleuca for always bringing us the safest and best products. We know we can trust this company way beyond any other! My family has never had a problem with anything we buy from you, and we have never been healthier since we joined. You honestly have turned the heads of typical market brands, who can’t even come close to the quality, science and value we get from you! Plus, with 30 years of honesty behind you, the others are never going to win our trust back. You had us hooked to stay from the 1st word… “Hello”…

  56. Karen on June 16, 2015 at 5:11 pm

I’ve been reading up on essential oils, particularly frankincense. So I ordered some and I absolutely love it! I’ve also read that some oils, including frankincense, can be ingested in very small doses, IF they are 100% pure oil. Why does Melaleuca’s frankincense state that it’s 100% pure, but then state not to ingest? Can it be ingested if used properly as would be recommended for most brands of 100% pure frankincense? I’ve actually taken the risk and added 2 drops to my 16 oz. cup of coffee for the past 2 mornings and I can tell you, my sense of calm throughout the day has been phenomenal!

  57. Jan hoffman on June 16, 2015 at 8:46 pm

Are these food grade/ingestible? Essential oils are amazing for colds, flu, etc.

  58. Debbie on July 1, 2015 at 2:14 am

I’ve been using another company’s essential oils and many of them are safe to take internally. Is this also the case with your oils?

  59. angela on July 5, 2015 at 5:26 pm

OMG I love these super excited!!! They are awesome

  60. Dee on July 7, 2015 at 12:53 am

  61. B on July 9, 2015 at 8:57 am

Although you have said they are pure oils, are they therapeutic grade?

  62. Winona White on July 9, 2015 at 4:31 pm

I was just looking at Nature Sunshine Products for their oils because you didn’t offer them. I am so glad you offer them now! I have been curious and looking into their uses as of late. You have good information about them but I would like to have all that info in a leaflet that I can hold in my hand and share with others. Is that possible in the near future, I hope! I just received my new summer catalog with my last Meleauca order and you didn’t have any info on the oils in it yet. I hope that is coming soon!!! Also what is this PURE Fractionated Coconut oil and PURE sweet Almond oil you speak of??? I checked the catalog and I don’t find it in there. Where do I get that??? Thank you Winona White

  63. Wendy heap on July 16, 2015 at 9:44 pm

I am also wondering this same thing. I have someone that uses oils rom another paticular company saying that because it says do not ingest that that means it is Highly Probably that these oils contain chemicals…. but that doesnt make sense if they are 100% pure essential oils…. wanting to learn more on essential oils. Why I only seem to hear about 1 or 2 companys that say their oils are safe to ingest? Also would like to see more educational material available on Melaleuca’s oils.

I think it would be great if Melaleuca put out a booklet on their essential oils…… letting us know what each can be used for and how to use them. I know a friend of mine sells another brand of essential oils and she has a handy reference booklet on how to use essential oils for various healing powers. (ie oils for removing skin tags, cycts, cancerous lumps, etc)

Hoping you will be adding thyme oil to the list! Would also appreciate a little more guidance from Melaleuca about how to use the oils for medicinal purposes, i.e. recipes for combining, how to apply, diffuse, ingest? I know there are books & websites, but info is confusing. Maybe a book specific to Melaleuca’s oils?

Do these essential oils have expiration dates on the bottles? What percentage of the actual product is in each essential oil…for instance is Lavender actually 100% Lavender or is it 80%-90% or what percentage is actually the product on the label? It is important is the reason I ask. Thanks.

I have been trying to find out how concentrated the oils are, with no luck. Are the oils a product of first distillation or additional distillation?

Young Living’s essential oils can be ingested but Mela’s 100% “PURE” oils can’t. What gives?

http://www.melaleuca.com/BusinessCenter/Content.aspx?Page=download_and_print_center has a document under Business Building materials named.PURE™ Essential Oils—FAQ that clarifies this. Hope this helps. I use them and love them but with commonsense:)

It is never recommended for an oil to be ingested without the supervision of an HP or a Doctor. Just because companies claim it is safe, does not mean it is 100% safe. Those who practice aromatherapy and have a deep knowledge of it do not recommend taking oils internally unless you really know what you’re doing.

In general though, I wish it was recommended to dilute all oils, some of the oils listed as safe to not dilute do need a carrier. I always recommend a carrier, especially with children.

    Are these essential oils digestible?

I loved the melaleuca Frankincense essential oil. I found it very effective and useful for reducing muscles and other body aches. Plus, yesterday night, I mixed this oil with lymphatic ginger oil to massage my different body parts and guess what, by this morning, I was feeling more fresh and active. Thanks for introducing such relaxing products. Good luck ?
